We are all connected together by a network of system called the internet. It is a global computer network, providing a variety of information and communication facilities consisting of interconnected networks using standardized communication internet protocols to link devices worldwide. It is a network of networks. It consists of private, public, academic, business and government networks of local to global scope which is linked by broad array of electric, wireless and optical networking technology.
PURPOSE
 Information, knowledge and learning
 Connectivity, communication and sharing
 Address, mapping and contact information
 Banking, bills and shopping
 Donation and funding
 Entertainment e.g. Watch videos, movies, listening to music, Playing games
 Cloud computing and cloud storage.
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH INTERNET
Most people are charged with internet crimes such as computer crime, cyber-crime, e-crime or hi-tech crime. It’s an act performed by a knowledgeable computer user, sometimes referred to as a hacker the illegally browses or steals a company’s or individual’s private information. In some cases, such individuals or group of individuals may be malicious and destroy or otherwise corrupt the computer or data files.
Some people involve in Internet scam; any attempt to defraud someone of money or property via the internet. There are examples of Internet crimes such as Child pornography, Copyright violation, Cracking, Cyber terrorism (hacking, threats, and blackmailing towards a business or persons), Cyber bully or cyber stalking (harassing or stalking others online), Espionage (spying on a person or business), Fraud (yahoo, Gee) – manipulating data e.g. changing bank records, to transfer money to an account or participating in credit card fraud.
SOME OTHER EXAMPLES OF COMPUTER CRIME
 Scam – tricking people into believing something that is not true.
 Slander – posting libel or slander against another person or company
 Spamming – distributing unsolicited e-mails to dozens or hundreds of different addresses
 Spoofing – deceiving a system into thinking that you are someone you are really not
 Fake job offer and investment opportunity
 Dating sites
WHAT ARE YOUR REWARD FOR INVOLVING INTERNET CRIME
 Internet crimes could either be wire fraud or computer fraud. Either of both carries a penalty of huge fines or up to 20yrs in prison per count.
 From the spiritual angle, it leads to destiny distortion (alteration).
 Separation from God’s will and purpose for your life.
 It releases generational curses to work against such individual’s life
 It strips you of your innocence before God.
In Conclusion, the internet is amoral, so it all depends on your use as teens. Abstain from the evil use of the internet and stick to the good. But this is what the Lord says, I will reward your evil with evil, you won’t be able to pull your neck out of the noose. You will no longer walk around proudly for it will be a terrible time.
