BY: BISHOP DR. S.I OKELEZOH
TEXT: Isaiah 9:6-8,Genesis 3:15, Isaiah 8:18, Genesis 12:1-3
The birth of Christ represent the seed God planted on earth for the purpose of multiplying Christ-like children. A woman is entitled and ordained to bear two seeds which are male and female. The woman Eve was deceived by the serpent, she was full of herself (self-will). Self-will is a trap to mislead, distract and depart you from the truth which is the way of Christ. One of the woman seed is self-will while the remnant seed is called man.
God took time to identify with man, so He made an appearance using the flesh of man. He came in form of a baby so He can carefully and gradually learn the doctrines of the earth. Which WILL do you carryout? Is it of God or your self-will?
The purpose of Christ’s birth is to bring an effect to all families of the earth. “And i will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” Genesis 12:1-3. Has the birth of Christ taken place in your family? Has someone from your family been born again. You were not born again for yourself but for your family.
No child is born without a star shining in the sky. Jesus is the bright and shining star. He was not born alone but with shining star. Every star of God carry signs and wonders. When you and i were born , we carried along an individual star. Stars can be quenched and beclouded. Are you going to allow your star to be quenched?
The moment you were truly born again, He made you a ruler to guide your family to the right path. How far have you affected and influenced your family and the Nation? Carry your family members along the path of Christ.
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God . . .” Isaiah 9:6. The word “Shoulder” represent a burden bearer. It also means to take responsibility or be accountable for something or someone. When we receive Christ, we are given the
• Doctrine of identification
• Doctrine of substitution. We put our self in the position of Christ and carry His responsibility on the lives of our love ones.
