TEXT: Luke 2:40-49, Psalm 104: 4, Hebrews 1:7, Solomon 3:6, Joshua 1:1-9, Romans 12:1-2, Hebrews 11:33

“Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire” Psalms 104:4, Hebrews 1:7. “. . . and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him” Luke 2:40. “. . . present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” Romans 12:1. A flaming fire unto God, is a holy consecrated sacrifice set aflame with sweet-smelling savour.
A believer can be a flame of fire unto God through the word, spirit and love. To be word-aflame is being saturated with the word of God and living by faith. “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” Joshua 1:8. To be spirit-aflame is to be baptised in the Holy spirit, and always filled with the spirit. “. . . but be filled with the Spirit” Ephesians 5:18. To be love-aflame is to love God with the whole of your heart and might; and to love your neighbour as yourself, Matthew 22:37-39.
Every believer has a reasonable service to perform unto God: presenting whole self – spirit, soul and body as a living sacrifice; each believer has a uniquely different service.
“Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions” Hebrew 11:33.
Only a believer that is aflame or a flame of fire unto God, can obtain divine promises.
