Psalm 103 v 1 – 22, Zechariah 3 v 1 – 10, Jeremiah 10 v 23

“He made known His ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel.”Psalm 103 v 7 {NIV}

Man’s overall existence is based off of God’s benevolence and benefits. We are beneficiaries of God’s love and infinite mercies. His benefits, however, are deeply buried in His principles and precepts.
There is a sharp contrast between God’s ways and His acts.
The Ways of God
The ways of God are the foundation of all things, the patterns, the methodology, and the paths that the truly redeemed are to walk in. Without adherence to the ways of God, the acts of God cannot be manifested in a man’s life. Hence, a believer who is wise in his deeds, will always ensure that the ways of God are primarily observed in his life before anything else.
God’s ways are predominantly evident in Christ. If a man be in Christ, he is set in the reality of God’s ways. He is set on the right path to glory. He has discovered the definite path to all of life’s successes and even beyond. There is no walking with God if one is not walking in Christ.
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him’”
• John 14 v 6-7 {NIV}
In the person of Jesus Christ, God inputted the entirety of his ways – righteousness, holiness, perseverance, love, mercy, and several more – and called him THE WAY. Just by sincerely holding on to and walking in Jesus, you will be walking in all the ways of God. Jesus is the way and the Holy Spirit is the tour guide. It is only on this path, that a man can find and fulfil his true purpose for existence.

The Acts of God
The acts of God are the performances, the blessings, the fulfilment of expectations, and the breakthroughs that God benefits His children with.
These blessings from God are particularly rooted in the effective adherence to the ways of God. The same ‘ways’ He has instructed us to walk in through the Scriptures.
Men make a grave mistake by looking on to the ACTS of God and consciously ignore His WAYS. This is an utmost futile move as one is bound to receive nothing of God if he does not live in the way of God.
“The angel of the Lord gave this charge to Joshua: ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: If you will walk in obedience to me and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge over my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here.’”
• Zechariah 3 v 6-7 {NIV}
You cannot receive from one whom you don’t acknowledge.
If all you rely on is your own wisdom and the knowledge of men, as well as the pleasures of sin, you are walking in your own way and there is no good in that. At the long run, this will barricade meaningful progress in your life.
“Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps.”
• Jeremiah 10 v 23 {NIV}
It is pertinent that you rely only on the wisdom and WAYS of God. This is the only guarantee that you will partake of the numerous ACTS of God’s generosity.

1. The ways I have been walking in that have been barricading my life, Lord, help me put off these ways and take up yours wholeheartedly, in Jesus name.

2. Lord help me to meditate on and follow your ways squarely as you have written and taught in your Word, in Jesus name.
