MESSAGE: FORCE OF FAITH AND POWER OF VIRTUE
BY BISHOP (DR) S.I OKELEZOH
TEXT: Psalm 126:1, 2 Peter 1:5, Matthew 9:20-22, Mark 5:25-34, Luke 8:43-48, Eccl. 4:9-12
Faith works along side with virtue but there is a slight difference. Faith is the word of God enthused that is to be enthusiastic in God’s word. How do you receive God’s word? Virtue is the presence and feeling of partaking the power of divine favour. Faith is believing, if your faith is sustainable and advanced, it will bring forth virtue.
The woman with the issue of blood for twelve years illustrates what we mean by faith. The number twelve signifies
• Kingdom power
• Governmental power
• Kingdom keys and gate
• Kingdom life
Three scriptures told us about the woman with the issue of blood and each has its reason.
• Matthew which means the gift of the Lord
• Mark which means to be concentrated to God.
• Luke means light given power.
The woman with the issue of blood was a courageous and desperate woman. A desperate man goes to any length to get what they want. She went after Jesus because of the faith in her not minding her issue. How do you go after Jesus? How do you present yourself to Him? You can follow this courageous woman’s step of create one for yourself. You cannot come after God and behave like you are a lord.
By faith she saw the power and glory of Jesus on His garment and she touched it. When you touch Jesus (the bank), there are certain blessings and treasures reserved for those who knows how to tap. How do you tap? This woman had the key of faith so she was able to tap her healing for her twelve years issue of blood. Do you have the key of faith?
Who did you come to seek and worship? How do you connect to Him? You connect to Him only through faith, believe. Faith is a framer. It frames, structure and design the things you want God to supply. The moment you frame them, it becomes things unseen. After framing, you begin to call them and you shall always be answered. Its ever too late to cry to God, the moment you think He is not there, you notice he is always around. God never leaves our presence.
