MESSAGE TITLE: A WELL OF LIVING WATER IN YOU
BY BISHOP (Dr) S.I OKELEZOH
TEXT: John 4:14, Genesis 21:29-33, Isaiah 51:1-2, Matthew 5:1
Passover revolves around the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. It is a memorial of His death as the true lamb of God. We believers partake of unleavened bread and wine in remembrance of the sacrifice of Jesus’ beaten body and shed blood. By partaking of the Passover symbols of bread and wine, we are proclaiming our continual Faith in Jesus’ sacrifice.
When a man becomes hopeless everything within him begins to die. When you prepare for Passover you have the hey word GOAL. Goal means a result that one is attempting to achieve. When you receive salvation, you have partake of passover.
CONDITIONS FOR RETAINING CHRIST IN US
* You should not be a generational quencher of passover spirit.
* Do not become a river blocker.
* You shouldn’t be a blood dryer, mercy hater and death lover.
* You shouldn’t be a generation that’s happy seeing sinners die.
* Do not be an idiot worshipper.
A disciple is a progression of followers. No one can inherit until he or she becomes a heir or heiress. The power to inherit means you must have been a leaf, a fruit or a steam and also bear or was given birth to by your parents. Anybody that passes through the right door of inheritance, The outcome of it would be everlasting.
WELL OF LIVING WATER
The well of God’s spirit is a deep well that never runs dry. It quenched all thirst and thy mouth can never be dry (John 4:14). Only the Lord Jesus can quench our inner thirst so you need to accept him as your one and only saviour.
Jesus used “water” as a symbol for the Holy Spirit. He gives us the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, seal us and fill us. Notice that Jesus is taking about “rivers of LIVING water”. Rivers of living water that are flowing out of believers. We need to ask ourselves, “what kind of living waters are flowing through me? Can I see a steady steam? Is my spiritual faucet dripping? Am I experiencing a flood of living water gushing out from the inside? The Holy Spirit should make a difference in one’s life. Jesus did not talk about dips of living water.
Jesus’ living water is the Holy Spirit. He helps us understand God by giving us spiritual understanding. He leads us to Jesus, places us in Jesus, matures us in Jesus. He lives in us and empowers us to live the Christian life. He transforms our lives from what we used to be.
